Driver Delivery

Description

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our company in a safe and timely manner of delivery of new fire trucks to various locations across the United States.

Essential Job Functions

• Transporting new fire trucks from Seagrave’s Clintonville location to Seagrave Service Centers, Seagrave Dealerships, and direct customer locations.
• Inspect fire apparatus to ensure DOT regulations.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules with the guidance of our sales team
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

Qualifications

Requirements

• Must have valid Class A CDL and Fed Med.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Fire service experience is a plus but not necessarily
• Tractor trailer over the road experience a plus but not required
