Dishwasher

Description

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to kitchen, cleansed, sanitized and properly stored. Performs a variety of duties in and around the kitchen. This position is at a WellQuest Living community. Reports to: Executive Chef.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities to perform the position.

1. Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and meal times.
2. Prepare dish room/area.
3. Complete tray deliveries
4. Basic food prep
5. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
6. Return dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
7. Break down kitchen for clean up.
8. Perform sanitation clean up of dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empties trash.
9. Complete general cleanup of dish room, kitchen and dining areas.
10. Make resident satisfaction the number one priority.
11. Serves residents in dining room(s), as needed.
12. Cooperate to get work done.
13. Flexible with daily schedule.
14. Follow standards for time and attendance.
15. Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families and visitors.
16. Provide support to community’s marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
17. Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
18. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, family members and visitors

Qualifications

Ability and Experience requirements

• Must have criminal record clearance.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Basic English speaking.
• Understand the importance of being patient and provide great customer service to our residents and family members
• Able to comfortably use a knife in a safely manner

Education Requirements

• Must have food handler certificate or complete training course within 30 days of hire
