Machine Operator II

Details

• Operate brake press to bend, punch, form metal sheets and plates at assigned station
• Handle, stage, lift and align metal sheets or components into the press.
• Follow machining template and drawing instructions to accurately determine materials, tooling, dimensions, and sequence of operations.
• Input accurate programming data into controller to match job specifications
• Perform safety checks and quality assessments on product and materials.
• Maintain workstation with general preventative maintenance and housekeeping to ensure smooth operations.
• Support other team members through collaboration and clear and concise communication skills.
• Work safely, wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Day-to-day direction provided by supervisor.

Physical Requirements And Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Lift or carry up to 60lbs throughout the day.
• Occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100lbs with assistance or mechanical aids.
• Be comfortable with standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, twisting and sitting throughout the day.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, metalworking, brake press, or production experience.
• Highschool diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train.
