Systems Integration Engineer, Hands

The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.</p></div><p>We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the bring-up, validation, and triage of our custom hand.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and technician teams to plan and execute first article bring-ups.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Build and oversee the execution of benchtop validation.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Plan and execute integration into the full robot stack and subsequent on-robot validation.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Develop and maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, test plans, and validation results.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Perpetually respond to on-robot failures, including coordinating failure analysis and driving solutions from conception to working on robot.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Drive diagnostics needs to speed up root-cause analysis and on-robot health checks.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Relevant experience integrating custom mechatronic systems for real products.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Depth in one or more of the following areas: electrical, firmware, controls, or mechanical.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Excellent communication and planning skills.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Hands-on, highly technical approach to integration.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Bonus Qualifications: </strong><br></span></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Prior experience working robotic manipulators.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Prior experience working with humanoids.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Prior leadership experience.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $250,000 per year.</p>
<p>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended. </p>
