Role summary
Owns significant workstreams within the smart-contract release train (TD Coin, Settlement Orchestrator, Fiat Relay, Fusion Root, Orchestrator Factory) and contributes to maintaining the Fusion-specific upstream diff against Optimism, guiding Protocol Engineers through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build components within the smart-contract release train.
• Contribute to maintaining and testing the Fusion-specific upstream diff against Optimism.
• Guide Protocol Engineers through implementation and review their work.
• Carry the on-call escalation rotation and join incident bridges for protocol-behavior issues.
• Support external audit preparation and remediation for assigned components.

Required experience & qualifications

• 5+ years in blockchain/DLT, smart-contract engineering or backend distributed systems.
• Strong Solidity/EVM (or equivalent) and integration skills.
• Experience with rollup/upstream-diff maintenance (Optimism stack or comparable) an advantage.
• Comfort carrying production on-call responsibility.

Success measures

• On-spec, on-time delivery within the release train.
• Post-release defect and rework rate.
• On-call response within target.
