&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Initiate and develop an R&amp;amp;D stream focused on fuel and fusible materials integration into experimental targets for in-house use.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Investigate hydrogen isotope exchange reactions relevant to fuel materials, through hands-on laboratory work and/or modeling and simulation.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Materials characterization: chemical and elemental analysis, including characterisation of hydrogen isotopes and light elements (atomic number &amp;lt; 9).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Coordinating multi-partner consortia and associated reporting: build and maintain collabo-rations with academic and industrial partners;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Drafting of public funding applications.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Mentor junior scientists and coordinate cross-functional teams.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Documentation and reporting: write and oversee technical and safety documentation, pro-tocol development, and contribute to internal, external, and funding-body reports.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What you bring&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;8+ years of experience in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a re-lated field, with demonstrated seniority in an R&amp;amp;D environment.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A background in isotope exchange chemistry, from experimental or computational work.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience in analytical techniques for hydrogen isotopes and light elements (atomic number &amp;lt; 9), such as ToF-SIMS, nano-SIMS, APT, Raman spectroscopy, NRA, ERDA, NMR, FTIR, GDOES or equivalent.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Practical experience working with processes under inert atmosphere for sensitive or re-active materials.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A track record leading or contributing to multi-partner research or industrial collabora-tions.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience leading or contributing to public funding applications, with a track record of awarded proposals.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior scientists and engineers in an ex-perimental environment with evolving priorities.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including technical writing for proposals and reports.&lt;/li&gt;
