About The Role

ITP Media Group is seeking an experienced Social Media Editor to join GAYA, a new global fine dining guide launching in Q4 2026. This is a key editorial role for a creative, digitally native storyteller who combines an instinctive understanding of social media with a genuine and sophisticated interest in food, restaurants and global dining culture.
The ideal candidate understands what makes people stop, watch, share and engage – and how to translate the world’s most exceptional dining experiences into compelling social-first storytelling. They will be as comfortable interviewing a chef, capturing a restaurant opening or identifying the detail that makes a dining experience remarkable as they are scripting a Reel, writing sharp social copy or analysing what is driving audience growth.
This is not simply a channel-management role. The Social Media Editor will help define how GAYA looks, sounds and behaves across social platforms, building a distinctive global social presence for the brand from launch.
The role is based in ITP Media Group’s Media City office in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

-
Lead and execute GAYA’s social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and emerging platforms.
-
Create, commission and publish compelling social-first content, including short-form video, photography, interviews, graphics, carousels, stories and written posts.
-
Regularly attend restaurants, openings, interviews, events and other industry occasions to capture original content for GAYA’s social platforms.
-
Develop original social franchises, formats and recurring series that build audience recognition and engagement.
-
Write scripts, captions, headlines and social copy with a strong understanding of tone, pacing, hooks and platform behaviour.
-
Identify emerging social, food, restaurant and cultural trends and determine where GAYA can credibly contribute to or lead the conversation.
-
Build and maintain a forward-looking social content calendar aligned with GAYA’s wider editorial calendar, restaurant coverage and events.
-
Monitor social performance and audience behaviour, using analytics to identify successful formats, improve output and drive measurable audience growth.
-
Establish clear growth targets across GAYA’s social channels and take responsibility for performance against them.
-
Build relationships with chefs, restaurateurs, sommeliers, creators and other relevant figures within the food and hospitality community.
-
Support GAYA’s annual portfolio of events through social content and in-person coverage pre-, post- and during.
-
Act as a public representative and ambassador for GAYA and ITP Media Group.
-
Regularly attend restaurants and events outside of traditional office hours.
Essential knowledge and skills
-
Deep, demonstrable understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other major social platforms, including their respective audiences, formats and algorithms.
-
Strong understanding of short-form video and the ability to conceptualise, shoot and edit high-quality social content.
-
Strong editorial judgement and an instinct for identifying stories, moments and personalities that will perform socially without compromising GAYA’s positioning.
-
Excellent social copywriting skills and a strong command of British English syntax, vocabulary, punctuation and spelling.
