Job Summary / Duties

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide quality patient care as a member of the Respiratory Team, develop and ensure the patient plan of care collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, therapists and nursing assistants.

Other responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist position include

• Evaluate patient and recommend a treatment plan
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Perform timely and accurate documentation
• Promote continuous quality improvement
• Teach and counsel patients/families

Qualifications

Requirements

• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program and licensed in the State of AL. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Experience: Critical Care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Additional Skills / Abilities: Must be a resourceful problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Must be positive and caring with a customer-service oriented attitude.
