About The Role

Your Role
The Premier Accounts team manages all group business with 3,000 or more employees, with nearly 1 million total members. Our strategy to win in the market is to understand and meet the needs of commercial/national public-sector employers, labor trusts, and their consultants in a way that exceeds their expectations by providing easy, understandable interactions and affordable choices through efficient use of premium dollars to establish Blue Shield as the preferred choice in health plans. The Administrative Assistant – Sales, Associate will report to the Manager Account Services. In this role, you will be an integral member of the account management team, connecting Strategic Account Managers and Account Service Representatives with the plan’s internal operations staff. You will verify benefits, help advance issue resolution, and provide account teams with key updates for customer reporting. You will also support account teams with assigned day-to-day issues and requests.

Your Work
In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and manage requests from the account management team in a timely and professional manner
  • Enter, maintain, and validate accurate and timely data within applicable systems
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized client files in accordance with established procedures
  • Assist in the review and comparison of client-facing documents, such as contracts / agreements, EOC’s, SPD’s, SOB’s, SBC’s with the assistance of AI tools
  • Coordinate orders for custom and standard collateral materials and monitor each order through delivery
  • Perform additional projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives and departmental priorities

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years ofadditionalrelevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Requires experience working in a health plan or health insurance industry
  • Requires basic experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience with sales intake tracking systems and software (for example Salesforce) preferred
