&lt;p&gt;The Science and Technology (S&amp;amp;T) Directorate&#39;s mission is to improve homeland security by working with partners (department components, other government agencies, State, local, tribal, and territorial emergency responders and officials) to provide state-of-the-art solutions and/or technology that helps them achieve their missions.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Internal Controls/Financial Audit position will perform tasks and activities related to financial reporting, use accounting software, and apply general accepted accounting principles, assurance, audit and tasks associated with technical areas such as risk management.&amp;nbsp; This position will examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others.&amp;nbsp; This position will install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;US Citizenship required to obtain security clearance&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&amp;nbsp;BA/BS Degree&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Minimum of 10 years’ with experience in managing and executing complex or technical efforts&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience providing advice and counsel to both government and support staff&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience developing, formulating, and establishing effective accounting policies and procedures&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience generating monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports by using financial management systems&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
