Job Summary
The Tendering Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to sales The Estimator is responsible for generating repair scopes/estimates for the customer and sales teams and conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific pricing.
This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Observes Company Safety Policy and Procedures; follow and support all STS Safety Policies and ISO Procedures.
  • Coordinators between multiple departments to complete inspections and recommendations in a timely manner
  • Create Standard Service profiles with in currently used program
  • Create, review and modify service profiles to improve accuracy of department Instructions, budgeted shop cost, and quotation language.
  • Combine service profiles to complete project action items.
  • Identify project action items for adders, additional scopes of work, etc.
  • Gathering and reviewing recommendations and associated shop costs.
  • Gathering and reviewing quotes for outside vendor services.
  • Review and edit quote language and presentation.
  • Review detailed cost report and quote presentation with production and submit to sales.
  • Maintain quality notes and files for each completed quotation
  • Work with other Estimators to improve efficiency and accuracy with in the Estimating Department.
  • Maintain LEAN objectives within the department.
  • Complete company-required training.
  • Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
  • Comply with the requirements of risk assessments and safety procedures.
  • Use PPE as identified in risk assessments or other related safety documents.
  • Do not undertake activities that have not been risk assessed, or where an assessment is not available or understood.
  • Report any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager.
  • Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent combined with relevant work experience, OR a bachelor's degree in a related discipline with no previous professional experience required
  • Strong computer, written, and oral skills
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
