About The Role

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • The Senior Analyst will lead various long term care payment methodology projects and analyze health care provider financial information.
  • Independently prepare, interpret, and distribute analytical reports and written summaries.
  • Mentor and train staff accountants
  • Provide quality assurance reviews on various analyses completed by other team members as well as self-review
  • Conduct research in order to determine billing and reimbursement compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulations
  • Coordinate staffing on projects
  • Review applicable Federal and State Medicaid policies and regulations relating to healthcare reimbursement
  • Participate in evaluating client-identified issues or problems and contribute to development of solutions
  • Work with the defined scope of the project
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Maintain security of and confidentiality of all protected health information
  • Serve as a bridge between clients, business users, and developers to facilitate prompt and clear communication regarding IT solutions
  • Work with internal IT teams to ensure that the day to day technical performance of our product meets the client’s expectation
  • Create user guides/end user documentation
  • As needed, ability to write and perform functional tests as well as user acceptance tests for applications and business processes
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA, or CPA candidate
  • 3 years’ experience in healthcare analytics/auditing, public accounting, or related field
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting
  • 1 year supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with database and report writing desired
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology; specifically Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Well-organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, health policy, health care administration, health information, criminal justice or related field
