Our team in McKinney, TX, is seeking an onsite Operations Quality Engineer II to perform quality activities to aid the Design activities and respective Quality Assurance Plans (IE: First Article Inspections, PFMEA, and checks on incoming and outgoing hardware).

What You Will Do:

  • Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
  • Plan, conduct and oversee Internal/External audits to aid Raytheon’s Certifications.
  • Develop partnerships with program and production leaders, IPTs, and other functions to drive issue resolution and implement improved processes.
  • Generate new Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs on the program and McKinney CMC.
  • Interpret requirements such as drawings and command media in compliance to work being performed.
  • Manage, lead and provide guidance to Quality Control inspectors.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience is work in quality, engineering, operations, program management or manufacturing.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems and performing FAI per those requirements.
  • Experience performing audits of products and processes within a program or business
  • Experience reading and interpreting requirements/drawings and identifying deficiencies/defects.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, audits and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies, and/or Process Improvement and streamlining.
  • Experience in hardware inspections and inspection standards.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience using people skills and working with customers, suppliers, in a team environment, facilitating cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities.
  • Experience communicating verbally and in written communications and networking with other stakeholders while problem solving and creating resolutions with effective and concise presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP.

Onsite: Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
