Detention Admin Security Officer

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Prior corrections officer or law enforcement background preferred.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The Admin for this position will work in a correctional facility setting and will be responsible for duties to include:</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Oversee and monitor the activities of the intake and release areas.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Complete all daily information forms necessary in processing offenders in/out of the facility.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Update computer upon arrivals/departures of offenders.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Update count board upon arrival/departure of offenders. </span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Operate Fingerprinting for incoming offenders.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ensure all arriving offenders receive appropriate identification, including ID and wristband.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Responsible for completion of inventory of property for incoming/outgoing offenders.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Properly identify each offender scheduled to be released.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Notify necessary departments of pending incoming/outgoing offenders.</span></li>
</ul>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>
<li>High School diploma or general education degree (GED)</li>
<li>Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check</li>
<li>Ability to handle physical and mental stress associated with working extended hours.</li>
<li>Must be able to regularly report to work without being late.</li>
<li>Ability to be physically alert on any shift that is assigned.</li>
<li>Work experience in a correctional setting is preferred.</li>
<li>May be required to possess a valid state driver’s license.</li>
<li>Must be mature, flexible, able to command the respect and confidence of inmates or detainees and staff, philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility, and possess a high tolerance to mental stress.</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers</p>
<ul>
<li>1 year experience as a security or corrections officer </li>
</ul>
