BASIC FUNCTION:
The Senior Solutions Consultant III is responsible for managing and delivering complex higher education solutions to a portfolio of clients. The Senior Solutions Consultant III will be responsible for understanding client's needs, developing and communicating strategies, selecting solutions, and mapping department processes.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Solutions, the Senior Solutions Consultant III works both independently and collaboratively to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Consult and maintain relationships with a portfolio of departments to understand their needs and develop strategies to meet their requirements.
  • Review use cases, derive requirements, and identify project options to execute the strategy.
  • Manage and oversee selected projects, review and manage vendors, and select solutions.
  • Map department processes, plan and coordinate user training, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Determine configuration and integrations, manage efforts within fiscal and other resource constraints, and monitor project progress.
  • Analyze and refine project plans as needed to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are successful and delivered on time.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Assist with other related tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS & SKILLS:
EDUCATION: A bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences with preference for significant background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of experience in higher education solutions or related field.
LICENSES: A valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured under the College’s authorized driver’s policy is required to drive College-owned vehicles.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Individual must possess knowledge, skills, and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Knowledge of higher education processes and procedures.
  • Experience with project management and software development life cycle.
  • Capability to apply AI tools and technologies in a consulting environment – both for end users and for consulting tasks – with a strong understanding of how different AI tools, platforms, and solutions work and when to apply them effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior team members.

OTHER:
REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the College. Some evening and/or weekend work may be required to support campus programs and activities. Occasional requirements to work outside of standard business hours may be required to ensure timely responsiveness to our College community.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment and include reaching, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. May occasionally lift/push/pull items up to 20 lbs.
APROXIMATE SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range is $85,000 - $95,000 per year. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
