Supply Chain Planner
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Planner will serve as the primary point of contract and is responsible for all Supply Chain elements involved with the planning and execution of merchandising. The Supply Chain Planner principally leads the planning and operational execution of merchandising through S&OP and Production Planning lead processes. With merchandising boards, towers, and cabinets all being the vital driver for multiple channel sales within the organization, this role is essential in making sure all key merchandising elements are implemented properly.
Location: This positon is based out our Huntersville, NC location, and we work on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in Office (T, W, Th) and 2 days Remote (M, F). More office time may be needed for training, onboarding, meetings or other business needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Drives execution of all merchandising operational elements via an S&OP cycle involving the Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Product Life Cycle, and KPI scorecard milestones.
- Routine reconciliation of Stock, PO, and subcomponent parts inventory positions between each vendor and our ERP records to ensure timely and complete alignment.
- Use Demand Planning software to maintain an optimized SKU/Vendor unconstrained demand plan forecast, involving both dependent and independent demand variables, as cornerstone to capturing volume trends, proper replenishment (MRP) calculation, and general vendor capacity planning.
- Lead Supply execution to keep merchandising items in stock, through routine replenishment order placement, subcomponent deliveries, and PO maintenance.
- Daily execution within the ERP system of vendor communicated customer order shipments and production values to ensure all aspects of the inventory data are in sync between both systems.
- Collaborate on key data elements to support vendor production planning prioritizing and execution with multiple vendors.
- Ability to manage custom project requests and provide timely feedback and action plans to ensure proper implementation.
- Understanding “made to stock” and “made to order” strategies for merchandising SKUs criteria and execution of custom product initiatives when requirements are significantly variant in nature from the standard offering and/or for select customers.
- Project lead for any merchandising related initiatives including, new product development (NPD) launches, Retail cabinet planogram (POG) resets, bill of material (BOM) changes, Standard Cost rolls, and all Skus involved in end-of-life Product Life Cycle (PLC).
- Evaluate monthly literature stock position for all active literature materials to support printed resources essential to organization/merchandising.
- Lead weekly merchandising vendor calls to discuss and/or align on project status updates, operational data actions, performance updates, and anything related to the progress and execution of merchandising.
- Build, analyze, and leverage KPIs (Days to Ship, Months of Supply, Production to Demand ratio’s) defining merchandising execution performance trends to drive improvements and initiative-taking solutions.
- Work internally to coordinate merchandising SKUs set up and ongoing maintenance of costing, execution files, pricing, and bill of materials. Ensuring all are properly set up accurately for execution/communication.
- Routine vendor site visits are essential for maintaining strong business relations and allows for in person connection and idea sharing on process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of Supply Chain Operations experience, preferably in a Manufacturing or Retail environment
- 4+ years of Demand Planning experience particularly involving Independent and Dependent Demand
- 4+ years of Supply Planning experience involving MRP, Production Planning and Replenishment Ordering
- 4+ years ERP (SAP) and Demand Planning Software (Forecast Pro) experience highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, or related analytical subject area.
- Experience involving S&OP, SIOP, or related supply chain planning process preferred.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to build positive relationships both inside and outside the organization.
- Experience using ERP-SAP and Demand Forecasting Software (Forecast Pro) strongly preferred.
- Experience in Project Management Tools preferred (Monday.com, Hive)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel required including X-Lookups, IF Functions and Statements, Pivot tables. Advanced knowledge strongly preferred.
- APICS Supply Chain Certification preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 4 times per year for vendor and customer meetings

Pay Range:

$3,899.70 - $8,433.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
