About The Role

Operate assigned heavy vehicles and equipment safely within the Vehicle Yard and designated operational areas.
-
Move, position, load, and unload vehicles as instructed by the Yard Supervisor or Team Leader.

Support the loading and unloading of vehicles from car carriers and other transport vehicles.
-
Ensure vehicles are parked and positioned correctly in designated yard locations.
-
Conduct pre-operation checks and ensure assigned vehicles and equipment are in safe operating condition.
-
Follow designated driving routes, speed limits, parking areas, traffic regulations, and all HSE requirements.

Maintain safe distance from vehicles, pedestrians, equipment, and obstacles, with particular attention when reversing and maneuvering.

Immediately report any accident, vehicle damage, equipment defect, injury, or safety concern to the supervisor.

Operate only vehicles and equipment for which the required valid UAE license, permit, or authorization is held.

Ensure vehicle keys, documents, and other assigned items are handled in accordance with company procedures.

Support the organization of the yard and efficient utilization of available parking and operational space.

Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in a clean and proper condition

Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety instructions.

Perform other related operational duties as assigned by the line manager.
Work Experience
-
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Heavy machinery operator, preferably within automotive logistics, vehicle yards, transportation, ports, or similar operations.

Previous experience in vehicle loading, unloading, and yard operations is preferred.

Competencies
-
Valid UAE driving license that allow to operate/drive heavy machineries, RTA Category 8.

Strong attention to detail with respect to vehicle models, specifications, features, and colours.

Good observational skills with the ability to quickly identify vehicle defects or issues.
-
Quick learner with adaptability and a positive attitude towards learning.
-
Physically able to perform duties requiring long hours of standing, walking long distances, and working outdoors in hot climatic conditions.

Good physical and mental fitness and stamina to perform the required duties.

Good understanding of the importance of providing high-quality customer service.

Basic knowledge of roadside repairs.
Languages
-
Basic English communication skills.
-
Ability to understand safety instructions, signs, numbers, and basic written instructions in English.
