Driver

PURPOSE:
In accordance with company policies and procedures, the G&H driver provides value within the fast-paced environment of G&H Diversified Mfg., LP (G&H) by supporting G&H production and process in compliance with the company and customer standards as assigned.
CRITICAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for delivering parts safely in between shops, to and from outside vendors, and to and from customers as assigned.
• Responsible for loading material using a forklift, unloading material using a forklift, and ensuring material is safely secured using strapping.
• Responsible for maintaining truck and other equipment cleanliness.
• Responsible for maintaining open and transparent communication with supply chain and shop leads.
• Responsible for strict compliance to DOT and company safety regulations.
• Other duties as business dictates or as assigned.

NON-SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for working in varying weather conditions.
• Responsible for moving throughout the work environment and performing assigned duties for up to 12-hour shifts, as required.
• Responsible for completing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.

Requirements

• 3+ years driving experience.
• Ability to drive a 36-foot gooseneck, and to back into tight places with gooseneck equipment on truck.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid CDL driver’s license.
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred, but not required.
• Must be available to work overtime, including weekends, if needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
