
HR Business Partner – Talent Acquisition

About The Role
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on HR Business Partner with deep talent acquisition expertise to support a growing technology organization. This role will serve as a trusted partner to business leaders while leading recruiting strategy, proactive sourcing, pipeline development, hiring execution, and recruiting operations. The ideal candidate brings experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or a similarly fast-paced environment and is highly proficient with applicant tracking systems, preferably Lever. This is a hybrid position based out of our headquarters in Philadelphia.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR Business Partner to leaders and employees, translating business priorities and workforce needs into practical people and hiring strategies.
- Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned functions, including intake meetings, sourcing, pipeline development, candidate assessment, interview coordination, offer development, closing, and onboarding partnership.
- Build proactive sourcing strategies for technical and business roles using LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals, job boards, market research, and other sourcing tools.
- Develop diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines and maintain ongoing talent communities for recurring and business-critical roles.
- Coach hiring managers on role definition, interview design, candidate evaluation, selection decisions, and an effective candidate experience.
- Administer and optimize the applicant tracking system, preferably Lever, including requisition workflows, candidate stages, interview plans, data accuracy, reporting, user adoption, and process improvements.
- Use recruiting metrics and market insights to identify trends, assess funnel effectiveness, improve time to fill and quality of hire, and provide clear recommendations to leaders.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent gaps, succession considerations, organizational effectiveness, and retention priorities.
- Provide practical employee relations and performance-management guidance, including coaching, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and investigations support as needed.
- Support compensation and offer decisions through market benchmarking, internal equity analysis, job leveling, and total rewards alignment.
- Use AI and automation responsibly to improve sourcing, outreach, documentation, reporting, recruiting operations, and the candidate experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 6+ years of progressive HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience, including meaningful experience partnering with leaders in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Strong full-cycle recruiting and sourcing capability, including demonstrated success building pipelines for technical and business roles.
- Hands-on experience administering and using an applicant tracking system to manage workflows, candidate data, reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to influence hiring managers, manage multiple searches, drive timely decisions, and deliver a high-quality candidate experience.
- Working knowledge of HR Business Partner disciplines, including workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent management, and employee engagement.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel-based recruiting and workforce reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to adopt AI-enabled tools that improve recruiting and HR effectiveness.
- Must be able to pass a background check and credit check and have authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience with Lever ATS, including workflow configuration, reporting, integrations, data quality, and user support.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and modern sourcing, scheduling, assessment, and recruitment marketing tools.
- Experience recruiting for engineering, product, implementation, data, cybersecurity, AI, infrastructure, sales, or other technology-focused teams.
- Experience supporting distributed, hybrid, or global teams.
