Join Ontario Health’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and help turn strategic priorities into measurable results. Reporting to the Manager, EPMO, you will lead one or more workstreams within a large enterprise initiative or independently manage complex projects from planning and design through implementation and operationalization.
You will bring together cross-functional teams, maintain momentum across complex dependencies, and keep delivery on time, within scope and on budget. When risks, issues or new requirements emerge, you will guide escalation and develop practical mitigation plans through sound judgment, critical thinking and strong relationship management.
Please note that this recruitment process is intended to fill three (3) positions.
Here is what you will be doing:

Key responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead the planning, design, implementation and operationalization of strategic projects or enterprise workstreams.
  • Build and manage integrated work plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans and project controls.
  • Coordinate cross-functional subject-matter experts and external partners, identifying dependencies and aligning work toward shared outcomes.
  • Monitor milestones, deliverables, scope and budget; escalate risks and issues promptly and drive mitigation plans.
  • Deliver clear, timely analysis and reporting aligned with EPMO standards.

Leadership and Communication

  • Coordinate team members across the organization and foster accountability for timely delivery.
  • Support working groups and governance committees with agendas, decisions, actions and follow-up.
  • Prepare concise presentations, discussion papers and briefing notes that enable action-oriented conversations.
  • Engage project sponsors and senior leaders with clear status updates, risks, decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop high-quality charters, business cases, project plans and related materials that clarify objectives, scope and intended outcomes.

Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree required, preferably in Business, Health, Administration, or another relevant discipline.
  • A Masters Level Degree in these fields would be an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in project management or a strategy/planning role supporting and executing project delivery
  • Work experience in health care is a strong asset.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven experience managing strategic projects and translating ambiguous requirements into clear project plans, charters and related documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise presentations, reports, briefing notes and workplans for diverse audiences.
  • Experience facilitating group discussions to build consensus and support decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, time-management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint; knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is an asset.
