Finance Assistant at L'Artigiano

Role Purpose:
To assist the Accountant in the Finance Department and to keep accurate records for all daily transactions, prepare balance sheets and process invoices.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Accountant for the preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
• Performing Bank Reconciliation.
• Ensuring Payments are made in a timely manner with a view to having a smooth relationship with suppliers. Following up of payments. Checking of payment dates to ensure proper cash and treasury management.
• Ensuring records are properly kept in an orderly manner for other stakeholders to have easy access.
• Preparation of Sales Invoices on a monthly basis.
• Reconciliation of Claims Account & Claims Staff.
• Computing Prepayments & Accruals for monthly management accounts meetings.
• Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables ageing follow-up.
• Reconcile cash and prepare banking.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Accounting; ACCA level 1 would be considered an advantage.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in the field.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies:

• Basic accounting knowledge of book-keeping.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
