The Sales Executive / Senior Sales Executive is accountable for developing new and organic business growth, building customer and partner relationships, and delivering agreed sales and margin targets. The role supports Meiyume’s strategic three-year growth plan and works collaboratively across the business to bring customer packaging projects from opportunity through delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities through effective prospecting and lead-generation strategies to deliver against the agreed sales budget.
  • Cultivate and develop customer and partner relationships through a range of channels to grow the business.
  • Co-develop the business marketing strategy with the Marketing team to achieve new-customer targets.
  • Understand customer needs and sell new product development and the complete value proposition, including primary and secondary packaging.
  • Create and deliver compelling pitches and proposals to prospective customers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity, and communicate relevant insights to key stakeholders.
  • Manage customer contracts in conjunction with the appropriate legal teams.
  • Own margin performance and customer profit and loss (P&L).
  • Deliver against strategic sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work collaboratively with the assigned Project Manager, who coordinates the full critical pathway for customer projects.
  • Build collaborative relationships across business functions, understand each function’s role, and create mutually rewarding ways of working.
  • Become familiar with and comply with relevant company policies.
  • Undertake other reasonable business activities required for the proper fulfilment of the role.

Role purpose

  • Create, identify, and nurture new and organic business growth opportunities in support of sales ambitions and the strategic three-year plan.
  • Take full accountability for new-business pipeline development and sales growth targets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in working practices that drive efficiency, sustainability, and growth.
  • Share responsibility for developing and embedding a culture of health, safety, and quality.

Business impact and key challenges

  • Deliver agreed sales-budget targets and target margin / EBIT.
  • Develop new business while maintaining and further expanding major customer relationships.
  • Work with a high level of autonomy and accountability.

Key working relationships
Internal: Business Development, Technical Sales Support, Design, Sourcing, Quality Management, Logistics, and Finance.
External: Customers and suppliers.
Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Sales &Business development experience in the Beauty and or packaging industry
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Preferred qualifications and experience

  • Demonstrated success delivering multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to assimilate, organize, and confidently present work, including data.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization across different time zones.
  • Evidence of effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Agility and willingness to adapt ideas, approach, and working time with energy and resilience.

Work arrangement

  • Hybrid customer environment; flexibility may be required to build strong customer relationships.
  • Three days per week in the office, with additional in-office attendance as required by customer or business needs.
  • Travel is required.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $175,000.00. The offered salary or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
