<h1><span style="color: rgb(37, 71, 123);">What you'll do:</span></h1>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);">As a Software Developer your key area of responsibility will be writing high-performance Java, Python and Go code and SQL queries to process and store data in real-time, as well as writing JavaScript and TypeScript code to create fast and responsive user interfaces. You will need to work closely with other members of the development and technical teams. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);">To be successful in this role you will be a strong team-player with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a flat organization, highly organized, and able to work well under pressure to respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines. In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.</span></p>

<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Listen and contribute to design discussions and make detailed notes and documenting requirements and technical design.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide guidance to more junior team members, sharing knowledge across the teams.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Write scalable, high quality and secure software in a variety of programming languages and environments, such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, SQL.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Perform quality assurance by doing peer review, ensuring coding standards are followed, looking for logic errors and other bugs.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Analyze call stacks, trace files, performance data to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of bugs.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Participate in development of prototypes, minimum viable products and proofs of concept.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide assistance to our support staff and resellers from a technical perspective. This may be in the form of on-call or ad-hoc questions </span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">relating to how certain features work or verifying the behaviour by reviewing code.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Research new language features, frameworks and other relevant technologies and offer recommendations to Leads and senior leaders.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist in defining best practices to be used in the team.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide design documents and documentation to ensure efficient maintenance and code reuse.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure the functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and system architecture for each assignment.<br></span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(102, 120, 140); font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule.</span></li>

<h1><span style="color: rgb(37, 71, 123);">What you'll bring to the role:</span></h1>

<li style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);">Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.<br></span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);">Knowledge of multiple general purpose programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python), as well as experience with Python, Google Compute Engine, and Google BigQuery.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);">Working knowledge of Cloud computing experience with GCP, AWS and/or Azure.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);">Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(102, 120, 140);">Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and engage with all levels of the organization.</span></li>
