WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
The purpose of this role is to lead the Porter team in delivering exceptional guest service by managing event space set-up and tear-down, maintaining standards, coordinating logistics, and supporting seamless conference and banquet operations.
- Manage guest relationships by setting clear service expectations, actively soliciting feedback, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead and coach the Porter team in daily responsibilities, holding each team member accountable to service standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure conference spaces are in proper working condition and meet guest standards.
- Supervise and assist with the set-up and tear-down of meeting rooms, stock linen, and oversee inventory management.
- Create bar requisitions from Banquet Event Order (BEO) information, ensuring requisitions are accurately filled and delivered to banquet bars.
- Support beverage control by conducting periodic audits and supervising transfer processes.
- Partner with sales and service teams to organize event diagrams, layouts, and guest flow to deliver seamless events.
- Manage inventory of room elements, including chairs, tables, linens, staging, and other guest supplies.
- Collaborate with Banquet leadership on Porter team scheduling to align with operational needs.
- Based on business volumes, may be required to work in other F&B operations for extended periods of time
- Ensures tactical processes and standards are followed to support the achievement of the Strategic Plan.
- Ensures that daily expenses and labour schedules meet daily budget allocations.
