Job Title: Investment Operations – Perpetuals - Associate
Job Description:
The Finance – Operations team is responsible for overseeing fund administration, liquidity management, and portfolio financing activities for Blackstone’s Perpetual Private Equity funds. The role partners closely with investment teams, portfolio management, finance leadership, and external counterparties to optimize fund liquidity, capital deployment, and operational efficiency.
This position is well suited for candidates with experience in fund operations, cash forecasting, or liquidity modelling within private equity, asset management, banking, or alternative investments.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead fund-level liquidity management activities, including cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, and scenario modelling across capital deployments, realizations, financing activities, and investor flows
  • Develop and maintain dynamic liquidity models to support portfolio management, financing decisions, and strategic capital allocation
  • Monitor and optimize utilization of fund credit facilities, including borrowing base calculations, covenant compliance, lender reporting, and capacity planning
  • Manage daily cash operations including cash movements, funding coordination, settlement oversight, and liquidity reporting across multiple entities and accounts
  • Oversee trading, settlement, and operational support for liquid credit and short-term investment positions
  • Prepare and deliver liquidity, leverage, and portfolio financing reporting to senior management including the COO, CFO, Head of Finance, and Portfolio Management teams
  • Monitor and enhance operational controls surrounding cash management
  • Coordinate investment closing and sale-related funds flows with deal teams, legal counsel, tax advisors, custodians, and counterparties
  • Partner with fund accounting teams on transaction accounting, cash reconciliations, and financial statement support under GAAP
  • Supervise and review responsibilities delegated to junior team members and offshore support teams
  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives related to liquidity reporting, forecasting, and operational infrastructure
  • Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and ad hoc strategic projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of private equity fund operations, hedge fund operations or private equity fund accounting experience
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity forecasting, financing facilities, borrowing base mechanics, and cash controls
  • Skill to work in a dynamic professional environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Builds relationships and communicates effectively across multiple levels, functions and regions
  • Effectively work and communicate with members of the team to ensure established deadlines are being met in an efficient, accurate and thorough manner
  • Desire to implement process improvement opportunities
  • A self-starter who works independently
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required

Expected annual base salary range:
$110,000 - $150,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
