Novo Holdings is looking for an ambitious and proactive Investment Associate to join our Singapore Biotech Bridge (SBB) team. The Associate will play a key role in evaluating, executing, and managing investments in the biotech industry. The SBB team is Novo Holdings’ early-stage investment and company creation group in Asia, focused on building NewCos around differentiated science and therapeutic assets from Asia. Through partnering and direct investments, we champion the creation and development of groundbreaking biotech companies. We focus on nurturing early-stage projects with the potential to impact patients, offering both capital and access to our extensive network and expertise. Our approach combines rigorous scientific validation with seasoned entrepreneurial, strategic, and market insights, aiming to de-risk projects and enhance their success.
Role & Responsibilities
As an Associate, you will be based out of Singapore and will gain exposure to biotech venture capital investing and company creation while working alongside a team of seasoned investors with extensive international experiences in life sciences.
The role offers hands-on experience across the full investment lifecycle and provides a unique opportunity for both personal and professional development in a dynamic, ambitious and collaborative work environment. Your tasks will include:
- Conducting scientific, commercial and strategic analyses of potential investments and their markets
- Collecting, structuring, and clearly communicating information on potential and existing investments
- Contributing to the broader investment analyses and ad hoc tasks
- Work closely with regional teams in Singapore and Shanghai and global teams across Copenhagen, London, San Francisco, and Boston to leverage the full Novo Holdings platform
Candidate Profile
- Strong academic credentials from a top-tier institution, PhD or MBBS/MD is a requirement in addition to a selection of
- 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or venture capital roles
- Experience with due diligence, valuation, and investment execution
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-border team
- Passion for healthcare and life sciences; sector knowledge and experience is a plus
- Language skills: Proficient in English and Mandarin
