About The Role

Project/Programme Planner – Products & Innovation - VELUX A/S - Østbirk
Step into a pivotal role where your planning expertise helps drive progress across strategically important programmes. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy collaborating with stakeholders, and have a passion for creating structure, visibility, and momentum, you could be our next Program Planner.
Meet your future team
As Program Planner, you will join a collaborative programme environment where close partnership with project managers, programme leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders is essential to success. You will act as the central point of coordination for programme planning activities, ensuring transparency, alignment, and consistency across multiple projects and development tracks.
In this role, you will build strong relationships across the organisation while supporting colleagues with planning expertise, guidance, and practical solutions. Your work will help ensure that programme milestones, dependencies, and deliverables remain visible and effectively managed, enabling informed decision-making and successful programme delivery.
What we offer
As our Program Planner, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and continuously improving integrated programme and project schedules. You will help create clarity across complex initiatives while ensuring planning data remains accurate, relevant, and actionable.
More specifically, your tasks will be to:

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee an integrated programme plan that consolidates project and sub-project schedules.
  • Maintain programme plans and reporting to ensure visibility across workstreams, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and key progress indicators.
  • Review and incorporate schedule updates from project managers and stakeholders, ensuring the master schedule remains accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate dependencies and interfaces across projects, identifying risks and impacts that may affect programme timelines.
  • Support scenario planning activities by assessing the consequences of schedule changes, delays, and alternative delivery approaches.
  • Participate in programme and development meetings, translating decisions, actions, and milestones into robust project and programme plans.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to plan owners to encourage consistent planning practices and high-quality schedule management.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes related to schedule ownership, update cycles, and planning quality assurance.
  • Work closely with Technical Development Leads and project managers to maintain and optimise product development plans across multiple development tracks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning tools, processes, and reporting capabilities.

What you will bring
We are looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented planning professional who enjoys working with complex programmes and supporting colleagues in achieving shared goals. You combine strong technical planning expertise with a proactive and service-minded approach, enabling you to build trust and add value across a wide range of stakeholders.
Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Have experience working as a Planner, Scheduler, or similar planning professional within large-scale projects, programmes, product development environments.
  • Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and are confident managing integrated programme and project schedules.
  • Have experience developing structured project plans that enable effective tracking of progress, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Are comfortable reviewing, validating, and challenging planning inputs to ensure schedule quality and integrity.
  • Understand programme governance principles and can help establish effective planning processes and standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, enabling productive collaboration across functions and organisational levels.
  • Take ownership of your work, maintain a high level of accuracy, and can work independently when required.
  • Are adaptable and resilient, recognising that plans evolve and that change is a natural part of successful programme delivery.
  • Bring a supportive and approachable mindset, actively engaging with colleagues to provide guidance and assistance.
  • Formal training or certification in project planning and scheduling, such as PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or a related planning discipline, would be considered a plus.
