In a fast-paced development environment focused on growth and innovation, you will be responsible for translating requirements into code to create, improve and maintain high-quality software.
In particular, you will:

• Take ownership of critical backend systems and services (Java Spring or C# .NET), ensuring high quality, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement through best practices in testing, documentation, and deployment;
• Design and implement microservices architectures, making thoughtful decisions about scalability, patterns, technology trade-offs, and Azure cloud deployments to optimize performance, cost, and operational efficiency;
• Partner with the Product Owner and cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA, product, design, architects) to translate business requirements into technical solutions and align technical and business goals;
• Lead technical design discussions and code reviews, raising the bar for code quality, engineering discipline, and architectural excellence;
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth;
• Integrate with payment systems and third-party APIs, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability across all integration points;
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the platform

What skills are we looking for?

• At least 6 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software systems;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot) or C# (.NET Core / .NET 6+), with a strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles;
• Experience designing and implementing microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems, combined with a solid foundation in database design, data modeling, and query optimization;
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies, familiarity with Kubernetes, and strong engineering practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews;
• Ability to work independently on complex problems and contribute to technical and architectural decisions;
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and AI-assisted software development practices;
• Advanced proficiency in English (C1 level);
• Hands-on experience with Azure and cloud-native development, messaging technologies such as Kafka or Service Bus, a background in payments, fintech, or credit services, leadership responsibilities in technical teams, and familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) will be considered a plus.

• Total compensation: € 39.000 – € 53.000 Including a variable component linked to performance. Full-time reference.
