As an R&A Financial Accounting & Controlling (FAC) Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, period-end closing activities, and financial analysis for the Downstream Americas business. You'll work closely with finance stakeholders across the organization, gaining valuable exposure to business operations, reporting processes, and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll be doing
As an R&A Financial Accounting & Controlling (FAC) Analyst, you will support financial reporting, month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and financial analysis to ensure accurate and timely reporting. You will collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple locations, helping deliver high-quality financial information that supports business performance and compliance requirements. This role reports to the R&A FAC Senior Manager within the Finance Operations Centre.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, financial adjustments, and Group reporting submissions.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant completion of accounting and reporting activities.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain data integrity.
- Support statutory reporting requirements and ensure timely delivery of financial reports.
- Assist with audit activities, internal controls, and remediation initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in finance projects and respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
- Build strong relationships with finance and business stakeholders to support end-to-end financial processes.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy
- Professional certifications such as CPA are an advantage.
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Exposure to financial audits, statutory reporting, or regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and IFRS standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, results-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- Work schedule is typically 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. During month-end closing periods, support may be required on an adjusted schedule of 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM to meet business and reporting deadlines.
