CNC Machinist / Programmer

Pay: Up to $33.00/hour, depending on experience
Potential Temp-to-Hire: After 90 days
Position Overview
We are hiring a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to produce precision-machined components and industrial equipment parts. The role involves CNC programming, machine setup, operation, inspection, and maintaining tight dimensional tolerances in a heavy industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Read and interpret shop machining drawings and technical documentation.
• Create CNC programs using G-code.
• Work with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls. Experience with every control is not required.
• Machine parts to tight tolerances, including measurements as close as 0.0005".
• Inspect completed work using precision tools such as:
• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Dial bore gauges
• Maintain consistent part quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Follow safe operating practices in a heavy industrial environment.
• Maintain reliable attendance and a professional approach to work.
• Lift materials or components weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Work the scheduled hours, including Saturdays when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with CNC programming and machine operation.
• Ability to understand and work from technical and machining drawings.
• Strong precision measurement and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to maintain tight machining tolerances.
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC controls.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently while following production requirements.
