<p><span style="color: #000000;">As a part of Sony Interactive Entertainment, GDFT is leading the cloud gaming revolution, putting console-quality video games on any device, from TVs to consoles to mobile devices and beyond.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">The Hardware Fleet Operations team is a critical component of our support structure that enables GDFT to successfully operate a global footprint at scale. This role focuses on Linux terminal-based troubleshooting beyond documented workflows, investigating recurring issues, managing the hardware lifecycle, and improving documentation and runbooks. You will partner with various engineering groups to transition operational support work to the Hardware Fleet Operations team. The role also includes building lightweight scripts or basic automation to reduce manual effort and enable other support teams to handle repeatable tasks more efficiently.</span></p>

<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Respond to operational support requests in a 24/5 environment, meeting SLAs and prioritizing work across internal customers and cross-functional teams.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Troubleshoot and support Linux-based hardware systems using terminal-based tools, addressing issues that require investigation beyond existing documentation.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Identify recurring operational issues and work with engineering teams to stabilize and operationalize support workflows.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Create, update, and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and internal documentation based on real-world support findings.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Develop and maintain lightweight scripts or simple automation to reduce manual tasks and improve operational consistency.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Support the transition of operational workloads from engineering teams into the Hardware Fleet Operations team.</span></li>

<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Who We Are Looking For</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">2-3 years of hands-on experience supporting or troubleshooting Linux-based systems.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Prior experience in a technical support, operations, or IT service delivery role.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Comfortable in working primarily in Linux terminal environments.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience following and improving runbooks, documentation, and operational processes.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira or ServiceNow in an operations context.</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document issues and solutions for technical and non-technical audiences.</span></li>

<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Linux terminal-based troubleshooting</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Basic scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)</span></li>
<li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">IT support fundamentals, including systems and basic networking concepts (Network+ level or equivalent)</span></li>
</ul>
