Senior Advisor, Cybersecurity Consulting

SUMMARY
Responsible for translating business cybersecurity requirements into specific systems, applications and product designs for a specific client, program or project. Provides recommendations of security solutions for clients using company products, outsourced technology solutions and technical tools. Collaborates with clients regarding secure product configuration, deployment, and how they align and adhere to applicable security policies and standards to minimize security vulnerabilities. Guides and supports clients in the development and implementation of product security controls.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provides holistic security guidance to a wide variety of internal business partners across network, host, database, application, and people/process domains
• At advanced levels, may provide program or portolio-level guidance to business unit leaders and embedded security champions
• Typically offers deeper specialization and expertise in one or more areas

• Perform security assessments and recommend technical controls.
• Configure and deploy security tools (firewalls, IAM, endpoint protection).
• Document architectures and compliance evidence for audits.
• Support remediation of findings and continuous improvement

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, Third-Party Security Risk Management (TPSRM), Supply Chain Security, or a related discipline, with demonstrated expertise managing complex cyber risk programs.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, business units, and executive leadership teams
• Demonstrated ability to influence strategic risk decisions, challenge assumptions, and provide consultative guidance on high-impact cybersecurity, third-party, and supply chain risk matters.
• Extensive experience conducting and overseeing complex third-party security assessments, evaluating control effectiveness, identifying systemic risks, and developing risk-based recommendations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, and industry best practices applicable to third-party risk management.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing executive-level risk reports, presentations, and briefing materials that translate technical findings into business risk impacts and actionable recommendations.
• Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate ambiguous information, synthesize complex data sets, and form defensible risk positions.
• Strong executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders, governance committees, and external partners.
• Broad cross-domain cybersecurity expertise, including knowledge of areas such as cloud security, application security, identity and access management, incident response, data protection, infrastructure security, and supply chain security.
• Experience developing, enhancing, and operationalizing security governance frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, policies, standards, and control requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of risk awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement

Desirable Requirements

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CCSP, GIAC, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with AI‑related security risks, particularly as they apply to third‑party use of AI technologies.
• Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.
