IT Logistics Operations Manager
Astreya Partners, LLC · San Francisco, CA, United States
About The Role
About the Role
Astreya is seeking an IT Logistics Operations Manager to build, expand, and oversee global IT logistics operations for a leading technology client. You will own the end-to-end logistics service across NORAM, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, including inbound and outbound logistics, IT asset operations, and a global IT peripheral vending program. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can bring consistency to multi-region operations, meet SLAs, and keep improving how the service runs as it scales.
Key Responsibilities
Global Logistics Operations
- Oversee receiving, inventory control, staging, fulfillment, shipping, and reverse logistics across all regions
- Build and maintain one global operating model with consistent SLAs, KPIs, and controls, carried out by regional teams
- Manage domestic and international shipping, carrier relationships, customs and import/export coordination, and RMA/return workflows
- Maintain chain of custody and audit readiness across all asset movements
IT Peripheral Vending Program
- Own vending machine and smart locker operations end to end: catalog, planograms, par levels, restocking, and replenishment forecasting
- Drive machine uptime and item availability targets; coordinate maintenance, incidents, and escalations
- Deliver usage analytics, stockout analysis, and recommendations to optimize catalog and cost-to-serve
- Support vending deployments, relocations, and decommissions for new or changing sites
Asset & Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate, timely updates to the ITAM system of record for receipt, assignment, transfer, recovery, and disposition
- Oversee cycle-count programs, variance investigation, reconciliation, and obsolete-stock management
Program Expansion & Projects
- Plan and execute new-site launches, office moves, high-volume onboarding, events, and hardware rollouts
- Scale capacity for surge and growth without fragmenting the service model
People & Performance Leadership
- Lead, coach, and allocate work across regional leads and logistics technicians
- Own SLA/KPI reporting, root-cause analysis, and performance reviews with client stakeholders
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and training; identify automation and process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
Required
- 7–10 years of experience in IT logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or IT asset operations, including at least 3 years managing teams
- Experience managing multi-site or multi-region operations
- Strong working knowledge of inbound/outbound logistics, international shipping, carriers, and customs processes
- Hands-on experience with ITAM or inventory systems and asset lifecycle management
- Track record of delivering against SLAs/KPIs in a managed services or client-facing environment
- Strong data and reporting skills (Excel/Sheets, dashboards, demand and variance analysis)
- Excellent stakeholder communication and escalation management
Preferred
- Experience running IT peripheral vending machines or smart locker programs
- Background in managed services for enterprise technology clients
- Experience with Jira, ServiceNow or similar ITSM/ITAM platforms
- Experience with site launches, hardware refreshes, and large-scale rollouts
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement background
- Ability to travel as needed
