About The Role

Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave).
As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.
Fixed term until: July 2027.

Buxted CofE Primary is looking for an enthusiastic part-time Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic junior team on Thursday and Friday mornings.
Buxted is a thriving, one form entry, rural primary school with a committed, friendly staff. We have motivated, happy children who are very rewarding to work with and strong family support.
The role will be classroom based with the junior team Thursday and Friday morning with the possibility of additional hours later in the term.
We need someone who:

Enjoys working with children and has a genuine belief that all children have the potential to succeed.

Enjoys working with the older children in primary school.

Is compassionate and caring, patient and intuitive with a good sense of fun.

Is adaptable, with excellent organisational and communication skills.

Is able to run small group activities.

Enjoys working as part of a team.
Experience as a Teaching Assistant or of working with children is preferred, but showing a willingness to learn on the job and develop your knowledge and skills will be viewed very positively.
