About the Role

Kaleris is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the EMEA and LATAM sales teams. This role will partner closely with Sales to prepare compelling customer presentations, product demonstrations, technical solution narratives, and value propositions across Kaleris product lines, with a focus on the Kaleris TOS portfolio, including N4, Octopi, and Master Terminal. The Sales Engineer will work closely with prospective and existing customers to understand operational needs, demonstrate product capabilities, and support the sales process from discovery through proposal response.
This role will focus particularly on growth in general cargo and intermodal markets. Operational experience with terminal operations, general cargo, intermodal operations, and marine terminals is strongly preferred. Regular travel across EMEA and LATAM will be required to engage directly with customers and prospects. Professional proficiency in Spanish is required. Proficiency in Portuguese and/or French is also preferred, with proficiency in all three languages viewed as a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team in positioning and selling Kaleris products and services, with a specific focus on general cargo and intermodal opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver product demonstrations for Master Terminal, Octopi, and N4 solutions.
  • Prepare customer presentations that clearly communicate product features, capabilities, operational value, and return on investment.
  • Help customers understand how Kaleris solutions can support and improve their current ways of working.
  • Understand and communicate how Kaleris TOS solutions compare to competitive solutions in the market.
  • Lead the technical response effort for customer RFPs and related sales opportunities.
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying customer requirements and consulting with internal technical, engineering, and professional services teams.
  • Uses approved AI-enabled tools to analyze RFPs and customer requirements, map requirements to Kaleris capabilities, identify potential solution gaps, and accelerate the development of tailored demonstrations and value propositions.
  • Educate key customers on Kaleris product architecture, capabilities, and advantages to build confidence in proposed solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, and communicate recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide product, service, and technical information by answering customer questions and responding to requests.
  • Serve customers by identifying needs and translating those needs into appropriate product, equipment, or service solutions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through industry learning, professional networks, and relevant events or associations.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Kaleris TOS products and how customers use them in terminal operating environments.
  • Proven track record of performance, ownership, and delivery in a customer-facing technical or sales engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software sales processes and customer buying cycles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and sales skills, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to customer value.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations, solution narratives, and detailed product demonstrations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing software solutions for the maritime industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience translating customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish is required; Portuguese is preferred.
