About The Role
The Project Director serves as the operational and administrative hub for the NH EPSCoR State Office, providing critical high-level project management and coordination in direct support of the Principal Investigator (PI) and the EPSCoR team. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgment, the position is responsible for executing key deliverables, managing complex administrative workflows, and ensuring seamless communication among internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a sophisticated combination of institutional experience, organizational acumen, and strategic planning skills to manage diverse project timelines effectively.
Situated within the core administrative structure of the EPSCoR Office, this position exercises a broad scope of responsibility over daily unit operations, data tracking, and project reporting. The Project Director collaborates across multi-disciplinary networks to align operational activities with overarching strategic goals and institutional commitments. This position is considered non-essential staff and is not required to report to work during university curtailment.
Duties/Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Administrative Management (40%)
- Serves as the primary operational hub for the NH EPSCoR State Office, managing daily administrative operations and project timelines.
- Coordinates closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and leadership team to execute key program deliverables and track strategic goals.
- Manages complex unit workflows, maintains documentation, and handles scheduling for major project milestones.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting (35%)
- Coordinates communications and data collection among internal and external project partners and stakeholders.
- Tracks, compiles, and organizes project data to assist the leadership team with progress tracking and compliance reporting.
- Functions as the central point of contact for the state office, streamlining info-sharing across multi-disciplinary networks.
Operational Support & Meeting Logistics (25%)
- Organizes, schedules, and provides logistical support for leadership team meetings, advisory boards, and program events.
- Manages follow-up tracking from meetings to ensure action items are completed by the team on time.
- Handles general department support tasks to maintain seamless office continuity during peak summer and academic cycles.
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or related discipline).
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in project management, program coordination, or administrative operations.
- An equivalent combination of education and directly related institutional experience will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Project Management & Organization: Strong ability to plan work, manage multiple tasks at the same time, and reliably meet project deadlines.
- Effective Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills to share information easily with leadership and outside partners.
- Problem Solving & Autonomy: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions to keep office workflows moving forward.
- Collaboration & Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and build positive professional relationships.
- Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy in tracking project data, managing documentation, and organizing meeting logistics.

Compensation Pay Range:
$47,920.00 - $85,410.00
