Humbility · Vilnius, Vilnius City Municipality, Lithuania

About The Role

Humbility is an algorithmic digital asset trading firm operating across CeFi, DeFi, and prediction markets. We build market-neutral trading strategies in a highly competitive environment, combining quantitative research with high-performance technology.
In atomic arbitrage, our edge comes from understanding on-chain activity, uncovering opportunities in the data, and turning those insights into effective execution. Our 50+ Quantitative Researchers and Software Engineers openly share ideas, data, and approaches, allowing insights to compound across the markets we trade.
We hire sharp minds and teach them trading. Prior trading experience is a plus, not a requirement - some of our strongest researchers came from mathematics, physics, and competitive programming with little or no market background.
In this position, you will:

  • Reverse-engineer blockchain topology;
  • Index all executed atomic arbitrages;
  • Generate hypotheses on where competitors get their edge, and test them against data;
  • Partner with engineers to deploy strategies, monitor live performance, and challenge their output;
  • Identify critical signals and manage an alerting system around them;
  • Write up and present findings so the whole team can build on them;
  • Track what other internal teams are working on and propose partnership opportunities;
  • Audit deals with external teams.

We value ownership above all. No one owns this whole cycle from day one, but every researcher here is working toward owning it end to end.

  • Strong drive to outcompete, paired with rigorous, data-driven thinking - you push ideas until the data proves or breaks them;
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field;
  • Curiosity to go beyond research and understand the engineering side - networking internals (TCP stack, HTTP requests), and how data gets ingested at the application level.

You will stand out if you have (not required):

  • Competitive mathematics, or programming background;
  • Ability to write production-grade code;
  • Experience with statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and backtesting;
  • Experience working on distributed systems, particularly ones requiring low-latency communication.
  • A culture of excellence. Join a team of top-tier engineers and analysts solving hard problems in a fast-moving market.
  • Connect, compete, unwind. Regular team-building activities, company events, sports, chess tournaments, game nights, and more.
  • Health comes first. Private health insurance included.
  • The little things, covered. Fully stocked kitchen and free parking at the office.

Salary

  • The salary range for this position is €3,500 – €10,000 gross per month.
  • Get rewarded for exceptional impact. Our yearly performance bonuses are uncapped, with significant upside for top performers - potentially exceeding base salary.
