Three Ships Beauty is hiring! We're looking for a full-time Senior Graphic Designer to lead visual design and support art direction for Three Ships. You'll turn brand strategy, campaign concepts and business goals into creative that looks elevated and gets results, from packaging and in-store displays to product pages and campaign imagery. You'll bring strong conceptual thinking and great design craft, and you'll lead projects from the first idea through to final delivery.
You'll also help evolve and protect Three Ships' visual guidelines. That means setting clear best practices for typography, layout, hierarchy, composition and graphic systems, so the brand stays distinctive and consistent as we grow into new retailers and markets. Your work will shape how Three Ships looks and feels everywhere our customers and retail partners see us, from the shelves of The Detox Market to an Instagram Story.
In this role, you'll report directly to our Associate Creative Director and work closely with our brand marketing, e-commerce and sales teams.
This is a great fit for a highly collaborative senior designer who balances big-picture creative thinking with a sharp eye for detail. If you're a storyteller at heart with a passion for skincare, beauty and wellness, and you love taking an idea from mood board to finished asset, check out the details below to see if this role is right for you and how to apply:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Graphic Design
- Packaging & Product: Support packaging design from concept through final artwork handoff, working within regulatory and structural packaging requirements. You'll also design gift-with-purchase (GWP) items, merch, branded props and product mock-ups.
- Retail & Physical Brand Materials: Design and evolve POS displays, signage and in-store collateral (shelf talkers, tabletop signage, placemats), plus lookbooks, line sheets, PR/influencer mailers and stockist materials. You'll adapt our brand assets to fit each physical format and support visual merchandising, events and experiential activations as needed.
- Print Production & Vendors: Prepare production-ready artwork and handle prepress, including paper stock, finishes, colour matching and file prep. You'll run in-house printing for branded props and collateral, and manage our external print vendors from quoting and proofing through to timelines and quality control.
- Digital & E-commerce: Design product detail pages (PDPs), banners, icons and infographics at e-comm scale, plus assets for site, email, paid media and social, all built to each platform's sizing requirements.
- Design Systems & Templates: Build and maintain scalable design systems, templates and flexible frameworks that keep every channel consistent without slowing the team down. You'll keep looking for ways to make our creative process faster and our output more consistent.
- Asset Management: Keep our design files, templates and asset libraries (Google Drive and the Brand Shop) organized and up to date with clean version control, so every team can find the right asset quickly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with copywriters and our marketing, e-commerce, growth, wholesale and retail teams to deliver integrated creative. You'll manage several workstreams at once and move work through approvals with each channel owner.
Art Direction
- Campaign Direction: Support the visual direction of campaigns across print, OOH, digital, social and experiential, and turn strategic briefs into strong, distinctive creative concepts.
- Mood Boards & Concepting: Work with the Associate Creative Director and internal teams to define the look and mood of each campaign.
- Imagery & Production: Support photography team from pre to post-production for hi-fi shoots, and execute “lo-fit” photography at our in-house creative studio.
- Product Visualization: Use AI image and render tools to visualize products and concepts before they go into production.
- Presenting & Partnering: Present work clearly and confidently to internal teams and partners, and work with producers and vendors to manage timelines and deliverables from planning through final assets.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of professional graphic or brand design experience, ideally within beauty, fashion, retail, lifestyle or another highly visual consumer brand.
- A strong portfolio that shows sophisticated design thinking across brand, campaign, packaging, retail, digital and print work.
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma and Canva, with strong production design skills (layout, typesetting and packaging structure) across print and digital.
- Strong photo and image editing skills (cropping, resizing, colour correction, retouching), and the ability to support video edits.
- Packaging design experience from concept through final artwork handoff, including work within regulatory and structural constraints.
- Experience designing POS, signage and in-store collateral, and adapting brand assets across varied physical formats.
- Working knowledge of print specs (paper stock, finishes, colour matching, file prep and prepress) and experience managing print vendors (quoting, proofing, timelines and quality control).
- A solid understanding of platform-specific sizing requirements, responsive design, accessibility and image optimization for e-commerce and digital.
- Proven experience leading projects from concept through final production, including working within and evolving established brand guidelines and design systems.
- Experience contributing to campaign photoshoots, including concept brainstorms and mood boards, shot list planning, creative production support or art direction support.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and approvals at once while keeping brand consistency and file/version hygiene tight.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to give and receive creative feedback with both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
- Experience with GWP, merch, branded props, product mock-ups or PR/influencer gifting is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI image and render tools for product visualization, and with creative testing and performance marketing workflows, is an asset.
- Experience designing for DTC brands on Shopify and Klaviyo.
- Experience with motion design or short-form video (After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar) is an asset.
WHO YOU ARE
- Are highly organized and execute with excellence, juggling multiple projects and pushing through obstacles to deliver results.
- Have a sharp eye for detail and notice when typography, colour match or a crop is slightly off.
- Love seeing an idea go from a mood board to finished packaging, display or campaign.
- Are curious by nature and always exploring new design tools, techniques and trends.
- Are passionate about natural skincare and believe education and transparency matter as much as aesthetics.
- Align with the Three Ships values of Hustle, Integrity, Compassion, and Curiosity.
