About The Role

Join Us as a Team Lead – Network & Security Operations
Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets? We are looking for a Team Lead - Network and Security Operations to join the Production Services team. The position will be based in Porto, and you will report to the Group Production Services.
You will primarily be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a team of around 15 Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Security Operations Centre (SOC) professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of a 24/7 Network and Security Operations function, ensuring service continuity, operational excellence and adherence to service level agreements
  • Driving the integration and evolution of NOC and SOC models, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve collaboration and increase efficiency
  • Overseeing team capacity, shift planning, on-call coverage, performance management and professional development
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and certification plans to ensure the team is equipped for a complex and evolving technology environment
  • Providing hands-on technical leadership during complex incidents and escalations, working closely with senior engineers and analysts
  • Overseeing network operations across WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, DNS/DHCP, Internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, cloud networking and datacentre infrastructure
  • Providing operational oversight of security monitoring and incident response, including alert triage, investigations, endpoint security, SIEM operations and IAM-related events
  • Ensuring effective use of monitoring and security platforms, including Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender, and driving automation and process improvement
  • Leading and coordinating major incidents, acting as Incident Commander when required and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders
  • Driving post-incident reviews and root cause analysis, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Managing relationships with technology vendors and external service providers
  • Maintaining and improving operational procedures, knowledge bases and technical documentation
  • Staying up to date with developments in networking, cybersecurity and cloud technologies, and translating these into practical improvements

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or a related field
  • At least five years’ experience in network operations, security operations or a related technical environment
  • Minimum two years’ experience in team leadership, coordination or people management
  • Proven expertise in network operations, with strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and technologies
  • Good understanding of security operations, including monitoring, incident response and event investigation
  • Experience in both NOC and SOC environments is highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of network technologies (routing, switching, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancing, DNS/DHCP, Internet connectivity)
  • Experience with technologies such as Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, F5, Aruba and Cloudflare is a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender or equivalent SIEM and EDR technologies
  • Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Strong understanding of incident, major incident and problem management, ideally with ITIL practices
  • Experience managing external service providers and operational stakeholders
  • Excellent people management, coaching and team development skills
  • Ability to combine technical depth with operational and people leadership
  • Strong process mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Security or networking certifications are an advantage
