About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring the team's workload, effectively assigning and distributing tasks according to individual responsibilities, and providing overall management and leadership of the team.
  • Review and finalize forecasts, assist in the preparation of annual budgets, and provide financial reports and analyses as required by management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate financial data, insights, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on a timely basis to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and control actual financial performance against budget, ensuring revenue and costs are supported by appropriate documentation and aligned with approved budgets.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules prepared by the Global Shared Services team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet review reports and submit them to relevant stakeholders within established timelines.
  • Review Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis and provide commentary on financial performance, key variances, and business trends.
  • Oversee and monitor statistical accounts and financial reporting requirements.
  • Support and contribute to the development of the company's business plans and financial strategies.
  • Lead and coordinate the completion of audited financial statements for assigned entities, including entities outside the Philippines where applicable.
  • Manage corporate finance activities and ensure compliance with Group reporting and tax reporting requirements.
  • Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow management, cash forecasting, banking relationships, and bank mandate administration for local Philippines entities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, group accounting policies, statutory requirements, regulatory agencies, and banking requirements.
  • Manage local statutory reporting and filing requirements, including tax compliance and submissions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, regulatory bodies, and banking institutions as required.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidelines are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect current business and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement new policies, guidelines, processes, and controls to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across controllership, reporting, treasury, and compliance processes.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by immediate superiors to support team objectives and company goals.

Key Performance Indicators
Financial Reporting & Close Process

  • Monthly financial close completed within agreed timeline (e.g., 100% on-time submission).
  • Accuracy of financial reports with minimal post-close adjustments.
  • Timely submission of management reports, balance sheet reports, and forecast packages to stakeholders.
  • Percentage of financial reports submitted by deadline (Target: 100%).

Balance Sheet Governance

  • Completion of monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations (100% completion rate).
  • Number of aged/unreconciled balance sheet items outstanding beyond agreed threshold.
  • Timely resolution of balance sheet exceptions and audit findings.
  • Reduction in balance sheet reconciling items year-over-year.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Analysis

  • Forecast accuracy against actual results.
  • Timely completion of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Variance analysis reports delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Actual versus budget variance maintained within acceptable thresholds with supporting documentation.
  • Ensure 7% ROC (Return-on-Cost) year on year results or what is allowable based on transfer pricing benchmark. (Entity: ECCL-ROHQ)

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Accuracy of cash flow forecasts.
  • Adequate liquidity maintained with no operational cash shortages.
  • Timely processing and maintenance of bank mandates and signatory updates.
  • Optimization of working capital and cash utilization.
  • Compliance with banking requirements and covenant obligations.

Statutory Reporting, Tax & Audit Compliance

  • On-time submission of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings (100% compliance).
  • On-time filing of corporate tax and other tax reporting requirements.
  • Number of audit adjustments identified during external audits.
  • Successful completion of annual statutory and group audits with minimal findings.
  • No penalties, fines, or non-compliance issues from regulatory authorities.
  • Internal Controls & Governance
  • Compliance with Group Accounting Policies and Internal Control requirements.
  • Number of control deficiencies identified and resolved.
  • Timely review and update of finance policies, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Successful implementation of process improvements and governance initiatives.
  • Ensure high-level of confidentiality is always maintained.

Team Management & Service Delivery

  • Achievement of team service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Team productivity and workload distribution effectiveness.
  • Employee engagement and retention within the team.
  • Completion of performance reviews and development plans.
  • Cross-training coverage and succession readiness within the team.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Satisfaction

  • Management and stakeholder satisfaction ratings.
  • Quality and timeliness of recommendations provided for decision-making.
  • Support provided for business planning, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Responsiveness to stakeholder requests and issue resolution.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Bachelor of Science in Commerce - Management Accounting. Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Bachelor of Science in Commerce - Management Accounting. CPA licensure is a plus.
  • 10 years’ experience in related field.
  • Knowledgeable in using computerize accounting system, SAP S4 is a plus and MS Office.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of complex data into actionable information.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Good analytical skills and able to interpret financial data
  • Will be able to create, update and implement guidelines and policies as necessary.
  • Leadership and coaching skills.
  • Clear communication skills with team, clients, and stakeholders with an eye for details.
