About The Role
Job Purpose
Lead and execute fraud risk management across Personal Banking, Business Banking, and Private Banking as a First Line of Defence (1LoD). The role is responsible for embedding the Group Fraud Risk Framework, ensuring fraud risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored, and reported while maintaining accountability for fraud controls, remediation, and fraud loss data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and embedding of the Fraud Risk Management Framework, policies, and control standards across Personal Banking, Business Banking, and Private Banking.
- Own fraud risk identification, assessment, control design, testing, monitoring, and remediation activities across products, channels, and customer journeys.
- Monitor fraud risk indicators, analyze emerging threats and trends, and implement corrective actions to mitigate fraud exposure.
- Partner with Fraud Operations and Risk teams by providing business input on fraud detection rules, scenarios, models, and customer impact assessments.
- Ensure timely reporting, recording, and analysis of fraud incidents, losses, recoveries, and fraud-related risk events.
- Support fraud investigations by facilitating evidence collection, coordinating with stakeholders, and driving remediation of identified control gaps.
- Conduct fraud risk assessments for new products, services, channels, campaigns, and business transformation initiatives prior to implementation.
- Drive fraud awareness, training, governance reporting, and stakeholder engagement while fostering a proactive fraud risk culture across the business.
Key Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Fraud Risk Management within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of retail, business, and private banking products, channels, and fraud risks.
- Experience in First Line or Second Line Fraud Risk functions.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in fraud controls, risk assessments, analytics, and remediation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify emerging fraud trends and control gaps.
