About The Role

Are you an experienced People professional who enjoys partnering with leaders while remaining close to the day-to-day execution of HR? URUS is looking for an APAC Senior Manager, People to support business growth across the Asia Pacific region by delivering practical people solutions that strengthen culture, performance, and employee experience.
Working within a global matrix organisation, you will partner closely with regional leaders, employees, and the global People Team to implement people strategies, support organisational change, and ensure the consistent delivery of People programmes across APAC. This role offers a unique balance of strategic partnership and hands-on execution across the full employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

People Partnership & Business Support

  • Partner with APAC leaders to translate business priorities into effective people strategies and action plans.
  • Provide trusted guidance on workforce planning, organisational changes, employee relations, and leadership challenges.
  • Collaborate with the global URUS People Team to implement enterprise-wide programmes, shared services, and best practices.
  • Coordinate regional People initiatives and ensure effective communication, follow-through, and stakeholder support.

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Partner with hiring managers and the global Talent Acquisition team to support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition activities.
  • Lead and administer performance management processes, providing coaching and support to managers.
  • Support talent reviews, succession planning, and development initiatives for key talent.
  • Coordinate learning and development programmes that enhance employee and leadership capability.

Culture, Engagement & Organisational Effectiveness

  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, action planning, and ongoing communication programmes.
  • Assist with organisational design, workforce planning, restructures, and change management initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration across regional and global teams within a matrix environment.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organisation.

Employee Relations, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and applicable labour regulations across the APAC region.
  • Provide guidance on People policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, performance issues, workplace concerns, and corrective actions.
  • Support workplace health and safety requirements, compliance activities, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit-ready processes.

People Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain and analyse workforce metrics, dashboards, and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Identify workforce trends and provide actionable recommendations to leaders.
  • Monitor data quality and partner with Shared Services to ensure accurate People data and reporting.
  • Support workforce planning and continuous improvement through data-driven insights.

People Operations & Employee Experience

  • Manage key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, probation reviews, and offboarding.
  • Maintain employee records, employment documentation, HRIS transactions, and payroll inputs.
  • Coordinate benefits administration, leave processes, and employee enquiries.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience.
  • Manage regional People calendars, programme logistics, and vendor relationships to ensure successful delivery of People initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources or People experience, including partnering with leaders in a matrixed organisation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience across employee relations, talent management, performance management, workforce planning, and organisational development.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Oracle, ADP, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders, manage competing priorities, and drive change.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A passion for agriculture and the bovine industry is highly valued.
