What we need
Exol is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician II to join our Site Maintenance team within the Exol organization. Your job will be to inspect, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated storage, robotic vehicle, lift, adapter, and related electromechanical systems to support safe and continuous operations.
What we do
The team supports the operation and upkeep of Exol’s automated material-handling systems. This includes automated adapters, vertical lifts, robotic vehicles, robotic arms, and the mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC-controlled subsystems that support equipment movement and system throughput. The team works to maintain equipment availability, resolve production-impacting problems, and complete maintenance activities safely and accurately.

What you'll do

  • Follow OSHA, Exol, and customer safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and fall-protection protocols.
  • Inspect automated storage and retrieval equipment, robotic vehicles, automated adapters, lifts, robotic arms, and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, sensor, and PLC-related equipment faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and test equipment.
  • Adjust, calibrate, repair, replace, or modify system components to support continuous operations and equipment throughput.
  • Operate automated systems, monitor material flow, and perform robotic vehicle or equipment recovery following anomalies and stoppages.
  • Complete preventive and corrective maintenance while documenting labor, repairs, actions, and parts used in the CMMS.
  • Communicate production-impacting issues, recommended corrective actions, and maintenance status to appropriate team members.

What you'll need

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent work experience
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in electronics, automotive technology, automation, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers and experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Experience inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating mechanical automation systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic and test equipment and accurately document maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, respond with urgency, and adapt to changing operational needs.

Our Environment

  • Travel could be up to 10% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
  • This is an in-warehouse role; you’ll spend time on the floor as well as in the office.
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts (day, swing, night) or be on call depending on operational demands.
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and tolerate warehouse environmental conditions (temperature variations, noise, etc).

The base range for this position in the posted location is $23.69 - $32.26 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
