<div><strong>[About the role]</strong><br><br>At the Ministry of Education (MOE), we support educators and schools through technology that reduces complexity, improves reliability, and enables better educational outcomes at scale. As part of this commitment, we are accelerating digital transformation across educational platforms, processes, and experiences.<br><br>As a Lead Engineering Manager (Salesforce), you will lead the engineering of Salesforce Education Cloud platforms that support critical school and educator workflows in the education domain — balancing technical excellence, team leadership, and delivery at national scale. You will provide engineering and people leadership for MOE’s Salesforce capabilities, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and sustainable — and that they meaningfully support educators in their daily work.<br><br><strong>[What you will be working on]</strong></div>

<li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce engineers across varying experience levels</li>
<li>Set clear technical standards and engineering expectations</li>
<li>Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on quality and learning</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><strong>Salesforce Solution Architecture & Delivery</strong>
<ul>
<li>Own the end-to-end design and delivery of Salesforce solutions, including Education Cloud and Service Cloud</li>
<li>Translate complex business and user needs into scalable, maintainable technical designs</li>
<li>Ensure solutions are production-ready, secure, and resilient</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><strong>Technical Quality, Risk & Governance</strong>
<ul>
<li>Make and review critical technical decisions, balancing delivery speed with long-term sustainability</li>
<li>Review architecture and code to ensure alignment with Salesforce and organisational best practices</li>
<li>Identify and mitigate technical risks, including performance, security, and integration concerns</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration & Agile Delivery</strong>
<ul>
<li>Partner closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders</li>
<li>Plan and deliver work iteratively using Agile methodologies</li>
<li>Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Platform Optimisation & Continuous Improvement</strong>
<ul>
<li>Drive continuous improvement in Salesforce platform performance and reliability</li>
<li>Stay current with Salesforce capabilities and recommend improvements where relevant</li>
<li>Improve engineering processes, tooling, and ways of working over time</li>

<li><strong>Technical Fluency: </strong>Strong understanding of modern web platforms, cloud technologies, and API ecosystems, with the ability to engage meaningfully in technical discussions</li>
<li><strong>Agile & Iterative Mindset: </strong>Comfortable delivering in evolving environments with continuous validation and improvement</li>
<li><strong>Cross-Functional Influence: </strong>Effectively collaborates with and rallies product, design, and business teams toward shared outcomes</li>
<li><strong>Mentorship & Communication: </strong>Clearly explains technical decisions and invests in developing engineers and future leaders</li>

<div>Qualification Requirements</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>5–8 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience,</strong> including building and supporting production Salesforce systems</li>
<li><strong>At least 2 years in a technical leadership or people-management role,</strong> leading Salesforce engineers</li>
<li>Strong understanding of <strong>Salesforce architecture</strong>, including data modelling, security, and integrations</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs</strong></li>
<li>Proven track record delivering <strong>large-scale, high-availability Salesforce solutions</strong></li>
<li>Experience working in <strong>Agile software development environments</strong></li>
</ul>

<p>Preferred Qualification</p>
<ul>
<li>Salesforce Architect or Salesforce Technical Lead certification</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>mission-critical or government-scale systems</strong></li>
<li>Exposure to <strong>education or public sector domains</strong></li>
