About the Role
Our client is a full-service event production company managing a high volume of vendor relationships, purchase orders, and financial transactions across live productions. They are adding a Junior Accountant to their finance team to support day-to-day accounting functions with accuracy, consistency, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
This is primarily an accounting role. You will work within an established team, follow documented SOPs, and handle a mix of transactional accounting and data entry support. The right person brings solid accounting fundamentals, comfort in QuickBooks Online, and the discipline to ask questions when something is unclear rather than proceed on assumption.
Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable entries, including vendor invoice review and payment tracking
- Support accounts receivable functions as directed
- Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations

- Assist with expense reporting and processing through Concur (training provided for the right candidate)
- Support month-end close tasks and financial record organization
- Maintain accurate, organized supporting documentation for all transactions

- Licensed CPA (2 years and above experience)
- Concur experience is a strong advantage; training will be provided
- Solid Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience in event production, media, or entertainment is helpful but not required
Work Style
- Detail orientation above all. You catch your own errors before they move forward. Accuracy is your standard, not your goal.
- SOP discipline. You follow procedures as written and raise concerns when something in the process does not match what you are seeing.
- Ask first, always. You ask clarifying questions rather than make assumptions. Ambiguity gets flagged, not guessed through.
- Reliable and responsive. You manage your workload, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively when priorities shift.

- Location: Fully remote
- Team: Works within the finance team and receives task input from multiple internal stakeholders

Who Will Thrive Here
This role suits someone who is genuinely interested in accounting work and wants to grow within a finance team. You take the numbers seriously, you follow the process, and you understand that asking a good question early saves everyone time later. If you have the fundamentals, the attention to detail, and the professionalism to represent the team well in every interaction, we want to hear from you.
