About The Role
Delta Homecare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Caretakers to provide quality in-home support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. As a Caretaker, you will play an important role in helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, comfort, and overall well-being while remaining in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.

Primary Responsibilities
As a Caretaker, your duties may include:
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
- Providing support with mobility, transfers, walking, and positioning.
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating when needed.
- Performing light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Assisting with laundry, changing linens, and routine household tasks.
- Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
- Encouraging clients to remain active, engaged, and as independent as possible.
- Providing medication reminders according to the care plan and agency guidelines.
- Monitoring clients for changes in condition and reporting concerns to supervisors.
- Following individualized care plans and service instructions.
- Accurately completing required notes and documentation.
- Protecting client privacy and maintaining confidentiality.
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, and team members.
- Following company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to help others.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to pass required background screenings.
- Compliance with all state, Medicaid, and agency requirements.
- Reliable transportation, when required for assigned shifts.
Experience Preferred
- Previous experience as a caretaker, personal care assistant, direct support professional, home care worker, or in a related caregiving role is preferred but not required.
- We welcome individuals with a caring heart and a willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
This role may require:
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Assisting clients with transfers and mobility support.
- Performing tasks outlined in the client's care plan while maintaining safety for both the client and yourself.
