Specialist - SAP-SAP ABAP

Bristlecone India Limited seeks a seasoned SAP ABAP Specialist to join its S/4HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role involves end-to-end development, enhancement, integration, and support of SAP applications, translating business needs into robust technical solutions while ensuring high performance and compliance.

• Design, develop, and test ABAP objects (reports, interfaces, BAPIs, enhancements) in the S/4HANA environment.
• Perform code reviews and optimize existing ABAP code for performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Implement data migration and integration using IDocs, BDC, ALE, and OData services.
• Support SAP S/4HANA upgrades and apply OSS notes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and provide root‑cause analysis.
• Create technical documentation and maintain development standards.
• Participate in agile delivery cycles and sprint planning.
• Mentor junior developers and share best practices.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on ABAP development experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and ABAP on HANA.
• Proficiency in ABAP OO, BAPI, BADI, Enhancement Framework, and Web Dynpro.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies (IDoc, ALE, OData, SOAP/REST).
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus.
• Ability to write efficient SQL and use CDS views.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel onsite as required.
