What you’ll do
- Structural Analysis & Design: Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel structures according to international standards, ensuring safety and compliance. Daily tasks include calculating loads, stresses, and designing bolted and welded connections. Success means delivering accurate, reliable designs that meet project KPIs.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, Weir Business Units, and customers to ensure project alignment and timely completion. This includes addressing queries from designers, fabrication, and erection teams.
- Documentation & Review: Prepare design calculations, review general arrangement (GA), fabrication, and foundation load data drawings, maintaining thorough checklists to ensure quality and compliance.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance to drafting teams and junior engineers, working with minimal supervision from senior engineers to produce high-quality outputs within agreed schedules.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to support project needs and coordination with stakeholders.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with 2–6 years (Master’s) or 4–8 years (Bachelor’s) of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in structural analysis and design of steel structures, including experience with industrial steel structures.
- Proficiency in at least one structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or RFEM/RSTAB.
- Ability to work on structures supporting industrial equipment and associated dynamic loads.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in the mineral processing or bulk material handling industries.
- Familiarity with connection design for bolted and welded joints.
- Exposure to RFEM/RSTAB (Dlubal) software and advanced structural analysis tools.
- Experience designing structures supporting crushers, conveyors, screens, and other heavy industrial equipment.
- Background in steel plants, cement plants, power plants, chemical processing, or oil & gas facilities.
- Strong skills in preparing engineering calculations and design documentation.
