About The Role

Trinity College seeks a dynamic, relationship-driven Associate Director of Parent and Family Giving to help grow one of the College's most important philanthropic constituencies. Reporting to the Director of Parent and Family Giving, the Associate Director will cultivate, solicit, and steward parents and family members capable of making leadership and major gifts while helping execute a comprehensive engagement strategy for Trinity's parent community. The Associate Director will manage a portfolio of approximately 125 parent prospects and work closely with colleagues across Advancement to strengthen parent participation and inspire philanthropic investment in Trinity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families and play a critical role in advancing the College's priorities.

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 125 parent and family prospects through all stages of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Develop and implement individualized strategies to secure leadership and major gifts in support of Trinity's highest priorities.
  • Partner with the Director of Parent and Family Giving to identify and qualify new parent prospects and strengthen the overall parent giving pipeline.
  • Assist in planning and executing parent engagement initiatives, including regional events, campus programs, and Parents Leadership Council activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Athletic Giving, Stewardship, Alumni Relations, and Principal Giving to deliver a coordinated parent engagement strategy.
  • Prepare briefing materials, proposals, stewardship reports, and other donor communications to support successful fundraising
  • Maintain accurate prospect records and timely documentation of donor interactions within the College's CRM.
  • Travel regularly to cultivate and solicit prospects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and successfully solicit leadership or major gifts, or comparable experience.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys working across departments to advance institutional goals.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Computer fluency including Microsoft Office Suite, donor database software, and query tools.
  • Appreciation for Trinity College's mission and the transformative impact of liberal arts education.
