Associate Cybersecurity Analyst

<div><strong data-olk-copy-source="MailCompose">Responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following):</strong></div>

<div>Monitor security alerts from SOC tools and queues, assess relevance and urgency, and prioritise items for investigation or escalation.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Perform initial investigation of security alerts, document findings in the ticketing system, and report suspicious activity or recurring trends to the appropriate escalation path.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Communicate clearly with IT teams, end users, service desk, Tier 2 SOC analysts, and management when gathering information, updating tickets, or escalating alerts.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Own assigned alerts through initial triage, documentation, follow-up, and handoff to the appropriate escalation team.</div>
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Skills</strong></div>
<ul data-editing-info="{"applyListStyleFromLevel":true}">
<li>
<div>Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Must be available to work a regular overnight and/or weekend shift</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Familiarity with SOC tools such as SIEM, EDR or anti-virus platforms, email security, asset monitoring, and ticketing systems.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Working knowledge of malware prevention, threat detection, incident response playbooks, escalation procedures, reporting, and general IT infrastructure.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Familiarity with Microsoft products (Office365 & Azure) and Citrix (Virtual Apps & Desktops) technologies</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Working knowledge and understanding of Windows operating systems</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Ability to navigate and utilize a ticketing system (working knowledge of ServiceNow is a plus)</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Ability to work under pressure, in a high-paced environment and with short deadlines</div>
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div>
<ul data-editing-info="{"applyListStyleFromLevel":true}">
<li>
<div>Experience preferred with a background in helpdesk, NOC, systems administration, cybersecurity operations, or a security internship.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Associate degree in MIS, Computer Science or similar focus</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Security certification, current or obtained within 6 months of hire, such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or Network+.</div>
